Fleet operators are asking for ‘complete’ solutions for their accident and risk management and increasing their use of professionals such as Car Magic and our sister organisation Non-Fault Car Accidents.
In a recent survey, it was found that of 162 companies operating fleets of vehicles, 73% would like an accident and risk management solution through a single point of contact, with management reporting.
The survey also found that 52% still arrange accident management in-house, and 32% use external accident management providers such as Car Magic. A minority of 16% continue to use their insurance company or broker.
Risk assessments were considered important for meeting health and safety obligations (63%), and finding training needs (19%).
Of the companies who had provided driver training, 89% said it was to improve driver safety, with health and safety obligations sitting in second place at 62%, and cost reduction in third at 37%.
