At Car Magic we pride ourselves on our excellent customer satisfaction and operate under the OFT Code Approval scheme. This means that we commit to higher standards of customer service and provide an easily-accessible and robust complaints resolution procedure. There is a new “trend” for insurance companies to insist that damaged vehicles are taken only to an insurance approved repairers, no matter how inconvenient or far away. In some instances drivers have been forced to take their car tens of miles away to a repair centre unknown to the owner of the damaged vehicle and preventing him or her having the vehicle repaired at a garage of their choice. At Car Magic we are an independent repairer and believe consumers need to know that they DO have a choice. Insurance companies should end their unethical market practices and stop treating motorists unfairly by diverting motorists away from the repairer they choose to the insurance company’s “preferred repairer”.
