Caffeine and Octane Car Meet With Teresa
The July 3, 2016, version of Caffeine and Octane was absolutely buzzing with activity. While the monthly event usually runs from 8:00‐11:00 am, a lot of folks do tend to show up early. I arrived to this month’s event around 8:20 am. Since it was a holiday weekend, the parking lot was buzzing. Out of all of the Caffeine and Octane events that I have been to, this by far had the most cars present and the largest crowd in attendance. There was quite an eclectic collection of cars at this month’s event. I have picked out a few that really caught my eye.

This is a Panoz Esperante. The first thing that caught my eye about this car was the fact that it was a Panoz. This is not a car that you see on the road on a daily basis. In fact, before this one, I had never seen a Panoz in‐person. The second thing that I really loved about this car was that it is a convertible. I love a convertible. I have wanted a convertible for ages and I hope to have one some day. This was actually my favorite car of the event, despite the Ferraris that were in attendance.
This is an MG TF. I do love an MG. My love affair with MG started several years ago when I was able to go for a ride in an MG Midget. I also got to help work on the Midget as well as an MG B. I find the MGs to just be fun little cars. Although, my love for MG is really for the classic cars. This MG TF was certainly a lovely example of a classic MG.
This Shelby Cobra was my favorite out of the few Cobras that were at the event. I loved the color scheme. The ruby red color reminded me of the ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz. There is something about the classic lines of this car that just really draws you in. I really could not help falling in love with it.
This Lotus Evora was a fun find. I had never seen an Evora in‐person before. So, when I found it, I was naturally excited. There is just something that I find really fun about a Lotus. I do always find myself drawn towards them when I see them. I certainly would not have minded going for a spin in this beauty.
The last car that I have selected for this post was this lovely Porsche 718. A local Porsche dealer usually brings several brand new cars to the event. This was one of those cars. It had a dealer tag on the back and the window sticker in the windscreen. I love those recognizable Porsche lines. The fact that it was a convertible was also a big reason why I loved this particular car, too. While Ferraris may be my first love, Porsche is definitely a very close second. I can imagine all of the fun that could be had driving this beauty around Atlanta on a bright sunny day.
There were so many cars that I loved at this month’s Caffeine and Octane. It was actually
hard to narrow down my true favorites. But, the cars that I selected definitely were the ones that made my pulse race just a little quicker.
