Nissan Qashqai – Three new doors!
The Nissan Qashqai was one of the top 10 most sold cars in 2013 and remained popular through the six year lifecycle of the first generation model. It was one of the first cars to tap into the crossover concept and appeal to a mainstream family market at an affordable price. In the UK by 2007, the Nissan Qashqai replaced the Nissan Primera and Nissan Almera – which Autocar say really “shows the extent to which Nissan bet all its chips on a single hand”.
We see lots of family cars here at our workshop for repairs and the Qashqai is a popular one amongst the mums and dads of Herts, Beds and Bucks. Whatever Nissan are doing it’s obviously working as the Autocar review awards 4.5 out of 5 for this car and they even go on to say that ‘convincingly reworking your best-selling car is the secret of being a successful car maker’!
A Nissan Qashqai in for repair:
This Nissan Qashqai was in with us at Car Magic recently for three new doors. The first two doors were replaced on the nearside of the car. You can see the car above with the doors and all the electrics removed. It’s ready here for the new doors to be fitted. The doors have been matched to the manufacturers exacting standards before fitting – including the paint colour and finish.
The final door we replaced was the offside rear door. The driver door being the only one that didn’t need replacing, just repairing and painting. Although the new doors have been painted and finished to match, we still need to blend them into the side of the car. It wasn’t long before we got everything looking as good as new and the Nissan Qashqai was on the way back to its happy owner.
