Go faster stripes for Matt Pollard
Matt Pollard continues his racing debut in the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship of 2018. Following his podium success at Cadwell Park where he took second place (and was interviewed for Motorsport TV ), we again had the Mazda MX-5 into the workshop for some repairs. This time, the repairs included some paint touch-ups before the car could get dressed into the Car Magic livery. Once applied, the Mazda MX-5 would be ready for the next meet at Oulton Park. Here’s the car with the bumper and front wings off, looking less than race ready. With an additional broom!
The bumper and two front wings (that are missing from the picture above) were sprayed in white to match the original specifications. The parts were all baked in our on-site oven, before being fitted back onto Matt Pollard’s racing Mazda.
Now the Mazda MX-5 was good to go again in terms of the race, but it was time to add the livery that we had all been looking forward to seeing in action. Our designer Katy Etherington had provided the car’s look using both the familiar Car Magic branding and the additional focus on our sister website www.nonfaultcaraccidents.co.uk. Local firm Amber Signs created the vehicle livery following approval from Matt Pollard. We then set about turning this blank canvas into a professional racing car, fit for a British Racing & Sports Car Club Championship.
Next we gave Matt Pollard some go faster stripes…
Here are some up close and personal shots of the Mazda MX-5 dressed for the race. The livery incorporates the two main colours of our branding, red and black. The geometric shapes give the car a modern look. The shapes stand out against the white background, which was the only thing kept from the original car. The wing mirror caps were finished in red and the wheels in black. This was something Matt Pollard was keen to have changed as part of the design and we think it looks great!
The back of the car features our Non Fault Car Accident Repair branding, in the same red and black design. The rear quarters have the AB Motorsport logo. They are the team that support Matt Pollard leading up to and after the racing weekends.
Here’s a final shot of the front of the car with the large Car Magic logo and our website address featured. This was just before the car left us for a weekend of racing at Oulton Park in Cheshire. You can follow this Mazda MX-5 and the progress Matt makes via our Motorsport page.
