Motorsport
Our love for cars isn’t just for those in need of repair. We also have a passion for classic and sports cars too. In 2018 we got involved with motorsport for the first time by sponsoring a local aspiring racing driver on his journey through the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship.
Motorsport – the dream.
We’re excited to be looking after this Mazda MX-5 Mk1 for another racing season. Motorsport is an expensive dream and Matt Pollard knows this only too well. The Mazda MX-5 Championship is a perfect starting point for young drivers to get into motorsport. With tight regulations and very few modifications allowed, the Mazda MX-5 Mk1 is seen as a great entry route into club motorsport.
We’re thrilled to introduce you to Matt (pictured below) who instead of following in his Dad’s sporting footsteps, has had a love of cars since he was five years old. Keith Pollard is the Chairman of Berkhamsted Raiders so you might assume his son would be focused on the football dream, not the motorsport one. We’ve known the family for many years and already support the local football club in the form of our Car Magic water bottles used on the annual Bournemouth Tour.
The Mazda MX-5 was in need of some bodywork before we could give it the Car Magic finish. You can follow the repairs, the racing and our motorsport journey with Matt on the blog.
